After a successful 20-year career at USAA, Mario Barrera has stepped into the role of Lead Advisor with Texas Financial Advisory. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Mario went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Majoring in Biology with a Minor in Business Administration at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He also earned his Masters of Professional Studies in Psychology of Leadership from the prestigious Pennsylvania State University. He has earned his Securities 65 License and is a registered advisor of our firm's RIA.
Mario is married to, Yvette Villanueva Barrera, who is the Vice President of Texas Financial Advisory. She would like it known that she is still the "Boss Lady" at work and at home. They of course are the proud parents to three wonderful children, Piper, Hudson, and Charlie.
